Haven't posted recently because I've not made anything worth posting recently, until this last week when I made zucchini bread for the very first time. It turned out fantastically, though it needed something, so I think when I make it again, Ill add walnuts or something to it, just for that extra texture.
So on to the growing part of today's topic. I found a link on Pinterest that showed me how to re-use the ends of certain veggies, which you can find here. So I used some of the tips and started with Green onions. After I was done with them, I stuck the white parts into a cup of water, and two weeks later, this:
They are growing nicely! I also figured since it was similar, to try the baby bok choy end I had. So stuck it in the water three days ago and this is the result:
Its growing like crazy! Im happy about it! I need to do this with romaine because we eat a lot of it.
So Im hoping more posts will come soon as I want to make more fall foods likes soups and stews, make breads of all sorts and lots of things. If you have any suggestions on what to make, or recipes that would be tasty, please let me know!
later!
